FIRST EPISODE - CURLY AND STRYKER
The video above is the opening of the first episode of the Honor Flight Heroes TV Docuseries, which made its national television debut Veterans Day 2019 on Discovery Network's American Heroes Channel.
THANKS TO HONOR FLIGHT ROCHESTER
With gratitude to Honor Flight Rochester, we were able to film and document the personal stories for all time of two WWII veterans - Philip "Curly" Voystock and Harold Stryker - who took Honor Flight 67 from Rochester, NY on September 7-8, 2019. Both shared poignant memories of wartime and how much taking the Honor Flight means to them today.
EPISODE TWO - STRYKER AND TERRILL REUNION
Following the broadcast of the first episode, WWII veteran Vincent Terrill, who served with Harold Stryker at the Battle of Okinawa in the Deadeyes 96th Division, contacted us to reach out to his former combat buddy, who he last saw in the Philippines in 1945. Both assumed the other dead.
THANK YOU HONOR FLIGHT NEW ENGLAND
With special thanks to Honor Flight New England, in Episode Two, we reunited these two brave veterans as they recounted their wartime experiences in front of our cameras, and experienced the love and affection of the entire town of Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts the first weekend of January, 2020.
AIRDATE: Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 2020, American Heroes Channel
Honor Flight Heroes presents the amazing life story of WWII vet 102-year-old Vivian "Millie" Bailey, as told in her own words! You'll learn about the discrimination she faced as she served in a segregated army and rose to first lieutenant, commanding 144 black women soldiers in the Deep South. Her accomplishments after the service earned her numerous civic awards and an invitation to the White House to meet President Obama and Vice President Biden. Along the way, she also adopted President Clinton! In October 2020, "Millie" checked off an item on her bucket list - jumping out of an airplane 2 miles high! Discover what is the last item on her bucket list, which we are rooting for her to fulfill (you can help)!
This is feel-good, must-see TV at its best - Millie's zest for life is an inspiration for all of us facing obstacles to overcome!
